Health & Safety

This is of prime importance to Helm. We conduct our business in such a way as to avoid harm to all our stake holders (employees, clients and partners) and all others affected directly or indirectly by our activities.

The Health and Safety at Work Act places specific responsibilities on both employers and employees. It is Helm policy to comply fully with this legislation and, in doing so, we will consult with all stake holders on Health and Safety matters.

Health and Safety management is a key aspect of managing Helm Constructions business. For a Health and Safety management system to be fully sustainable and effective each individual must recognise their role relating to Health and Safety and line managers must be responsible for Health and Safety management. Health and Safety has been incorporated into policies, planning and controls in such a manner that facilitates operation within the framework of Company and statutory requirements. We fully recognise procedures detailed by the Health and Safety Executive and each development we undertake has an appointed CDM Coordinator

Finally, a Health and Safety handbook has been developed by the company Health and Safety advisor, to cover the Health and Safety issues which impact upon our business. Directors and senior management who manage our activities will ensure that the procedures and work instructions are observed and promote awareness in all employees as an integral part of good management. We request all members of staff to maintain an up-to-date knowledge of the relevant documentation contained in the Health and Safety handbook to the extent applicable to their individual responsibilities.
