Great expectations for a happy, healthy retirement

People looking at upmarket retirement options have fuelled demand for quality accommodation such as Stuart Court in Minchinhampton – where builders Helm Construction are delivering five new homes and a brace of apartments for the over 55s.
The English Courtyard retirement scheme is designed to the highest specification and promises ‘Smart living for the un-retired’.
Helm Construction Contracts Manager Jon Ticehurst said: “Stuart Court currently comprises 26 properties built in beautiful, local Cotswold stone, while the attractive surroundings have superb landscape gardens with a variety of magnificent trees.”
Four of the seven additional units have already been reserved.
“The brief we were given demands the very highest standard and build qualities throughout the site – and this includes the groundworks and footings.”
Each unit will have bespoke first floor balconies, stone fireplaces with incorporated fires and roof lights over the stair atriums. Final touches will include underfloor heating, open plan steel vaulted ceilings, inter com and safety panic buttons as well as a future proof design for a lift should this be a requirement for future residents.
All will feature two bedrooms and en-suite bathrooms.
John Ticehurst concluded: “Working in Minchinhampton means that we are stretching our traditional geographic operating area. We have a strong reputation for the quality of the builds we produce and we were pleased to have been selected to take this prestige development forward – it represents another major step up in terms of contract value per unit we are achieving.”
