Bristol builders are making good progress on a redevelopment scheme at Hampton Road in Clifton – where nine new apartments will be provided on a former under-used garage plot.
Helm Construction are up to the roof level on one three-bedroom and eight two-bedroom apartments on two floors on behalf of developers CPD/WDA.
Construction Director Jon Ticehurst said: “Owners are looking at under-used or abandoned spaces across the city.
“Just about every overgrown yard or garage in the district has been returned to the public realm, creating a new useable space for residents – as well as some much-needed new homes for the community.”
He said a number of schemes – from ambitious extensions and designer developments were opening up under-utilised spaces in Clifton.
Helm Construction have scored a hat-trick of successes in neighbouring streets restoring tired properties and cleaning up eyesore sites in Pembroke Road and Frederick Place.
In addition to providing new spaces and new homes, we feel we are also improving the visual amenity of the wider neighbourhood.”
