South Bristol’s newest nursery welcomed crowds of people from every generation to its official opening on Saturday.
Helm Construction completed the new nursery on Chessel Street in Bedminster on time and on budget.
Cutting the ribbon at the opening ceremony on Saturday, Southville Community Development Association chair Matthew Symonds said Helm Construction had gone about their work with professionalism and care and ensured that disturbance to neighbours had been kept to an absolute minimum.
Site manager Phil Wheeler said: “This has been a challenging but worthwhile build – replacing the former Boy’s Brigade Hall with a brand new community facility and all within a particularly confined space.
“We believe it will be a great community asset to the Bedminster and Southville areas, providing much needed childcare facilities for residents old and new.”
