News that the West will be one of three regions to benefit from £300m of Government funds designed to accelerate new home delivery have been welcomed by fast-growing Bristol builders Helm Construction.
The raft of new funding measures could unlock thousands of homes across the West, Oxfordshire and Greater Manchester and help to tackle the housing crisis.
Helm Construction says the new funding could double the number of new homes being built in the region.
Construction Director Jon Ticehurst said: “We are doing our bit building both new homes and converting unwanted commercial premises to apartments.
“But this latest announcement underlines the Government’s commitment to deliver rather than dither. Housing Secretary Sajid Javid is clearly determined to build the homes this country needs as well as investing in local infrastructure.”
