Project: Five three-bedroom townhouses
Client: Mr Bishop
Contract Value: £739,000
Helm have been tasked with the construction of five three-bedroom townhouses for Client Lee Bishop. Particular challenges on the job included the properties were built into a very steep hill so careful planning for movement of earth and materials was required. Access to the site was also restricted due to the steepness of the surrounding roads and narrow, tight roads.
As the houses were built on such a steep hill, careful planning was required in order to safely remove the large amounts of mud and earth. Structural piling was also put in place which ultimately created a series of split level properties. Deliveries were scheduled in a time efficient and structured manner to ensure a steady flow came throughout the day as opposed to all at once to avoid an overload of deliveries and a build up of traffic on the steep, narrow roads.
There are five, three bedroom town houses in total, each with a garage and rear garden. The new homes are set over 3 different levels to provide a modern, contemporary feel. The ground floor features a large open plan kitchen and dining area with large glass doors and windows letting in a significant amount of light and providing an airy and spacious feel. The patio doors open out to a good sized patio and garden area which has been laid with low maintenance all-weather turf. The three bedrooms are situated on the middle and top floors along with a family sized bathroom and en-suite to the master bedroom which also a features a small balcony which overlooks the beautiful area of Totterdown.
